Abstract
Ushbu maqolada Agata Kristining “The Adventure of the Western Star” hikoyasida detektiv janrining o‘ziga xos xususiyatlari o‘rganilgan. Hikoya tuzilishi, xarakterlar tasviri va syujet rivojlanishi tahlil qilinib, klassik detektiv an’analardan, jumladan, markaziy sir-asrorlar, chalg‘ituvchi elementlar (red herrings) va detektivning deduktiv fikrlash usullaridan qanday foydalanilgani ko‘rsatildi. Detektiv va boshqa xarakterlar o‘rtasidagi o‘zaro aloqalar, suhbatlar va ijtimoiy kontekstning tergov jarayonini rivojlantirishdagi roli ham tahlil qilindi. Shuningdek, hikoyaning an’anaviy detektiv ramkaga mos kelishi va undan chekinishlari, Kristining janrga qo‘shgan o‘ziga xos hissasi ochib berildi. Ushbu tahlil orqali Kristining detektiv janrining o‘ziga xos xususiyatlari chuqurroq tushuntirilgan
